Community Resources

Matrix Housing Services – www.matrixhousingservices.org.

Nearly 15,000 people experience homelessness every night in Minnesota and the numbers are increasing in Dakota County. This winter, Matrix Emergency Shelter will help meet the need, serving up to 50 adults (men and women, ages 18 and older) nightly. The shelter will open on November 1st at Grace Lutheran Church and then move to other churches in Dakota County throughout the winter. Providing safe, dignified shelter is the first step in helping somebody end their homelessness.

While in shelter, guests can work with Matrix Housing staff to get connected to the resources and housing they need to end their homelessness. Please visit our website to learn more: www.matrixhousingservices.org. You can also email us at: connect@matrixhousingservices.org. Our main office number is: 612-236-4086.

If you know of someone who may need to access shelter, please have them contact the shelter directly at: 651-319-2153. Your support will make a difference. Thank you for opening your doors and welcoming our guests on November 11th at Augustana Lutheran Church. We look forward to partnering with you as thoughtful stewards of this work.
