Adult Ministry

Helping people “discover all that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ has to offer” is a core value of Augustana’s Adult Ministry. We offer a wide variety of educational classes, presentations and events throughout the year.

Adult events and opportunities include Bible studies, book clubs, large group presentations and small interest groups. Recognizing that everyone has limits on their time some of our  programs are weekly, others are monthly, others are a one-time event, and still others are online!

Below you will find general, women’s, and men’s ministry opportunities.  Separate flyers contain event schedules and details. Please click on the buttons below for more information.

SPECIAL EVENTS

 Congregational

Adult Forum

About the Theme: As we prepare to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, we are reminded of what Martin Luther said: “Our faith is a living, busy, active, mighty thing.” We want your faith to be intricately woven throughout every aspect of your life. We want your faith to meet your life in every decision you make.

Graphic: The Where FAITH meets Life graphic was designed to reflect the integral relationship between our faith and our daily life. The symbolism inherent in the various design elements is described below:

Cross: The cross is a powerful symbol that God’s word and the gospel is central to everything we do. The cross in the graphic is the same cross used in the Augustana logo.

Colors: The five vibrant colors in the word FAITH were taken from the tapestry hanging in the Narthex. Each color represents a specific ministry at Augustana and indicates that our faith is formed and shaped through many different ministries and experiences.

Green—Adult Ministry

Light Blue—Preschool

Orange—Local Mission

Purple—Prayer and Care Ministries

Dark Blue—Children, Youth and Family Ministry

Font: The font in the word FAITH illustrates that our faith is the bold and solid foundation in our lives. The looping font in the word LIFE depicts the twists and turns that life throws our way.

Circular Dots: The continuous circular image represents that there is no starting or stopping point between faith and life and that when both our faith and life go through the cross, both are strengthened.
