Adult Ministry

For the past nine months, we have dared you to be Wholehearted in the way you live, love, parent, and lead. We would love to hear how you’ve engaged with our integration of faith, life, and the research of Brene Brown. Please take five minutes to complete the Wholehearted Living Survey.

Helping people “discover all that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ has to offer” is a core value of Augustana’s Adult Ministry. We offer a wide variety of educational classes, presentations and events throughout the year.

Adult events and opportunities include Bible studies, book clubs, large group presentations and small interest groups. Recognizing that everyone has limits on their time some of our  programs are weekly, others are monthly, others are a one-time event, and still others are online!

Below you will find general, women’s, and men’s ministry opportunities.  Separate flyers contain event schedules and details. Please click on the buttons below for more information.

Whether you are busy raising your family, work from a home office, or commute to your workplace, we all wonder, “how is God calling us in our life’s work?” We will reflect on our Lutheran understanding of vocation and Brene Brown’s research on resiliency in the “arena.”

Brene’ Brown’s book The Gifts of Imperfection identifies 10 guideposts that wholehearted people practice. Below you will find the notes and presentation from Adult Ministry Director, Stacy Eichman Cardwell:
