Tell us about you and your family:

I grew up and live in Minneapolis, although our family spent time living overseas, which prompted my deep interest in travel. I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a B.A. in Religion, and Luther Seminary with an M.A. in Children, Youth, and Family Ministry. Through various programs I participated in with my own youth group throughout High School, I learned two things, 1) how much I enjoyed serving other people and 2) the importance of doing something that faith calls me to do. Working in ministry, seeing God’s word come to life through the activities, lessons, and actions of those around us is a wonderful gift; I am grateful for that gift. I look forward to working and serving with each of you at Augustana!

I come from a close-knit family with both my immediate and extend family members. I am the middle child, with an older sister and younger brother. I am blessed to have most of my family live in the Twin Cities area and able to spend lots of time with them.

My favorite Bible verse is:

It is hard for me to pick just one, but I need to remind myself of this one often –

“So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” –Matthew 6:34

When I’m not at Augustana, you can find me:

With friends and family in the aquatics world (I think I’m part fish) or enjoying their company and spending time in the kitchen.

One more thing I’d like you to know:

You can always take a chocolate break at my desk!
