Before I get into the main focus of my sermon I felt like I had to address something. Rereading this story, for the purposes of this sermon I have to admit I was really turned off by the violence. I mean this isn’t your Sunday school version of David vs. Goliath. What bothers me when reading this type of violence in Scripture (of which there is quite a bit) is the violence is ordained by God.View Sermon
