Worship is the most important thing we do as a community.
Worship connects your faith with your life and identity. Because faith doesn’t stop when you leave the building, we want you to leave worship each week with a clear understanding of how the Biblical lesson is relevant to your daily life.
WORSHIP SCHEDULE
Fall Worship Schedule begins September 10
Traditional Service 8:30 and 9:45 am, Sanctuary
We experience God’s grace and love in Jesus Christ through traditional hymns and liturgy. Relevant, thought-provoking preaching strengthens us, and the beautiful music of the pipe organ and choirs inspires us.
Contemporary Service 11:00 am, Fellowship Hall
In this informal service of praise and worship, Augustana’s Celebration Band plays a variety of musical styles, emphasizing contemporary Christian music. Holy Communion is celebrated every week.
Children are Right Where They Belong in Worship at Augustana!
Augustana warmly welcomes the wiggles and giggles of children in worship. Families have several options for worshiping with their children:
Pray ground. Soft toys, books, blocks and child-size table and chairs await your child in the Prayground located toward the front of the Sanctuary.
Worship bags for Children. Pick up a bag as you enter the Sanctuary and let your child explore the contents including fidget toys, easy-to-understand card describing parts of worship, images of some of the people they will frequently see in worship (pastors, organists, etc).
Nursery. Our nursery is conveniently located right outside the Sanctuary if your child just needs a break from worship. It is staffed on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 9:45, Wednesday evenings from 5:50 to 8:00, and as needed for other events and activities.
