Welcome to where faith meets life!
Children in Worship
Children are a vital part of the Augustana community and warmly encouraged to attend worship services. We expect them to make noise and need to wiggle; they are growing in understanding and learning to be part of the church family. Worship bags are available for children whose attention span is still growing. These bags can be found outside the nursery entrance
In case you or your child needs a break from worship, our Family Lounge is now open during all three services on Sunday morning. Formerly known as the nursery, the family lounge is available to use with parental supervision. Worship audio is available in the Family Lounge.
Holy Communion
Holy Communion is the part of our worship life, which sustains followers of Jesus Christ. God’s gifts of grace, forgiveness, and new life received through faith come to us in this meal. Augustana invites all who believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior to participate as his guest at his table.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month, and occasionally at other times throughout the month, at the 8:30 and 9:45 am services. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at the 11 am service.
First Communion
Augustana welcomes children in 2nd grade and older to participate in the First Communion class. Classes are held in February or March. Students and parents must attend one of the classes to be part of the First Communion service. We celebrate First Communion for children on Maundy Thursday.
Van Rides to Worship – Cancelled until further notice.
Augustana provides van transportation from nearby neighborhoods to church each Sunday morning for the 9:45 am service. The van runs from September through mid-May. Call the church office to schedule a ride.

Online Worship
As we are coming into the summer season, we are planning a pause of our online worship starting in June. We will be taking this time to prepare to implement new livestreaming equipment and evaluate our digital ministry to share the good news of Jesus. We’ll keep you updated through the newsletter and website as the summer progresses.
